What is a desiccant?

A desiccant is a product or material that can be absorbs moisture from the air, thus reducing the humidity in a controlled environment and thereby protecting goods from moisture damage

What is mould:

Mould is a type of fungus. Moulds are visible clusters of Microscopic filaments of fungal growth. They can grow on virtually any substance providing moisture is present.

How moisture influence on mould growth?

If humidity in the air is naturally high due to wet season, regional position like by the coast or another large body of water or in a dampened area, then mold growth can be a recurring problem. This is because mould growth needs darkness, a food source, oxygen and water source to grow. So if there is high moisture it can work as the water source and enhances mold and mildew growth.

How are Super Dry different from silica gel?

Although some people think that Super Dry and Silica Gel are the same thing. However, the main fact is that Super Dry is not Silica Gel. Super Dry differs from silica by the following contexts:
The ingredients of Super Dry are Calcium Chloride and Amylopectin (a major ingredient of Starch) But Silica Gel is the commercial name of Silicon Di Oxide.
The physical form of Super Dry is solid powder but Silica Gel is hard
